DU Kennedy Mountain Campus
The Kennedy Mt Campus was a newly acquired remote campus in Red Feather Lakes for the University of Denver. With an integrated project delivery model, renovations were made to the 780-acre campus, across 13 buildings, over 2 miles of roadway paving and erosion control improvements, and a 1/2 mile of new trail installations and restoration. The improvements included accommodations for ADA accessibility, energy conserving lighting upgrades, insulation, and buildout of existing seasonal cabins for year-round usage, gender sensitive restroom improvements, as well as general finish upgrades to align with campus standards. All design efforts, permit acquisition, and subsequent build-out to make the campus ready for the inaugural student usage was completed in under a year’s time from date of property purchase.
